Vibeke Wang is a senior researcher in the SUCCESS project. Her research concerns questions of politics and gender with a focus on representation, recruitment, and gender aspects of political violence.

Wang has been involved in multiple projects funded by the Research Council of Norway. Currently she is the Principal Investigator of the FRIPRO funded research project The Cost of Doing Politics: Gender Aspects of Political Violence
She has co-edited special issues in journals and authored/co-authored numerous book chapters and articles. Her research has appeared in journals such as Comparative Political Studies, International Political Science Review, Journal of Modern African Studies, Political Studies, Politics & Gender, and Social Politics.
